Abstract
Numerous cases of abnormal lengthening of the styloid process of the temporal bone have been described. A recent case experienced by us manifested symptoms that suggested a state of psychic disorder. Excision of the abnormally long styloid process resulted in complete disappearance of symptoms and, furthermore, the patient himself was unable to recollect his previous symptoms. The mental aberrations in this patient are discussed.
