Abstract
A total of 54 cases with nasal allergy were treated with histaglobin. An evaluation of the efficacy of this drug revealed 68.5% of the cases fell in categories either “mildly improved” or “improved”, while only singe case was termed as “markedly improved”. Histaglobin however, was found to be equally effective in type I through type III. This drug may be used with favorable effect to those cases in which their allergens are not identified.
A combined treatment by histaglobin and desensitization for type I nasal allergy seems to enhance the effect of treatment.
