Aspiration of the fluid from the neck cyst followed by iodized oil study revealed. isolated congenital cyst. This was removed on the 54 th day after birth. Histological diagnosis of this cyst was enterocystoma, a tumor arizing from the aberrent tissue of the gastric mucosa. Surgical excision of the nasopharyngeal tumor was Performed a month later.
Soft palate was split and entire tumor was removed from the lateral pharyngeal wall. The histology of the tumor was papillary cystoadenoma. Postoperative course was uneventful and tracheostoma was closed at the age of 130 days. Tae child has no further trouble.
