Observations were made on the sinus tympani of human fetus. Materials subjected to this study were twelve fetuses of 8-36 weeks respectively. After these materials were fixed with formalin and embedded in paraffin, serially sliced specimens of 6-25 μm were prepared. We found that sinus tympani is formed in the 17th week of fetal life. Furthermore we attempted to reconstruct a three dimensional model by computer graphics.
