Abstract
Temporal bone findings in two cases of head injury were presented.
Case1. Longitudinal fractures occurred in bilateral temporal bones. The fractures extended to middle ear in both sides, and bleeding was seen in tympanic cavity and mastoid air cells. Furthermore, bleeding was observed in internal auditory canal, facial nerve canal, scala tympani of cochlea, and endolymphatic sac, but there were no fractures.
Case2. In right year, endolymphatic hydrops was observed in all turns of cochlea. She had no history of meniere's disease, so we considered that endolymphatic hydrops occurred following head injury. There were no significant changes as cause of endolymphatic hydrops, but small amount of eosinophilic material was found in endolymphatic sac.
