The temporal bones of the three patients who were died of spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage were presented. In five ears, blood was found in the subarachnoid spaces around the nerve trunks in the internal auditory canals and singular canals, and in the perilymphatic spaces, especially in the scala tympani of the basal turn. Blood had entered modiolar spaces in three ears and Rosenthal's canals in two ears. Blood was also found in the subepithelial layers of saccular and vestibular macula through the vestibular nerves, in the cochlear and vestibular endolymphtic spaces, and in the perineural spaces of vertical segment of facial nerves.
