Since Kemp's discovery of otoacoustic emission, so many authors have been interesting in this phenomenon. And from all over the world, a great number of beautiful results have been reported. Since couple of years, several labolatories in Japan also have begun to investigate the emission. However, there are so many unresolved problem in a measurement techniques or measuring devices.
In this present report, effects of different type of earpiece on measurement of acousticemission was discussed. Used earpiece in this experiment were close up type and non-close up type. Test stimuli was 3000Hz click which come from Neuropack II (Nihonkoden Co.) and emission was picked up by extremely sensitive microphone EU 08 (Rion Co.). Subjects were three healthy normal persons.
