Materials synthesis via biomimetic processing

Abstract

Biomimetic materials processing is important in the production of new materials and devices because of recent concerns regarding environmental pollution and energy minimization. In this paper, we report on biomimetic materials processing. In particular, we focus on biological structures, bioprocesses, and biofunctions. The following subjects are introduced in this paper; (1) Ultra-water-repellent film and (2) microstructured self-assembled monolayers.
