Applications of monitoring system using optical fiber sensors for building and civil infrastructures

Abstract

Monitoring applications using optical fiber sensors for building and civil infrastructures are introduced. The usability and performance of optical fiber sensors are confirmed through installation results and measured data on a long-span cable-stayed bridge and a damage-tolerant building with seismic passive dampers.
