A Mott transistor, which enables abrupt resistance switching due to the field-induced Mott transition, is a candidate for moving “Beyond CMOS”. In this paper, we introduce an organic Mott transistor based on a molecular conductor. The device showed the highest field-effect mobility as an organic device and the Mott transition was confirmed with the Hall and Seebeck effects. Problems and guidelines for moving towards device application at room temperature are then discussed.
