Complex hydrides consisting of light elements have been widely investigated as high hydrogen density materials. In recent years, the high-temperature phase of LiBH4 is reported to exhibit a fast Li-ionic conductivity that exceeds 10-3 S cm-1, and it is expected to be utilized for all-solid-state lithium rechargeable battery electrolytes. In this paper, we report our recent progress on the development of fast Li-ionic conductors and an all-solid-state lithium rechargeable battery, and also remark on future prospects.
