Measurement trials of crowd’s well-being using visible light communication

Abstract

Well-being (WB) is flourishing state of human beings which first can be categorized by size of the relationship. Thinking the effect of emotional contagion, there will be a WB state of the crowd. However, there are few studies that dealt with WB of the crowd. This study introduces our approach to the issue by showing parallel physiological measurement technique which uses optical camera communication. We show that crowd excitements can be reflected in the phase synchronization of the respiration. We also show our trial to measure and visualize the brain state of the crowd. The visualized feedback is considered to have an effect on the state of the WB if designed properly.
