Smart agriculture using IoT technology requires real-time monitoring of soil environments. In order to perform stable measurement of soil parameters, there are a variety of precautions to install sensors in the soil and communication equipment in large fields. This article describes the features of the soil environment sensor MJ1011 and the real-time monitoring system “FieldScan System®” and its installation methods for real-time soil monitoring.
