Mission of Reliability

Abstract

In our country, discussions on dependability have begun in the middle of 1950's. Since that, as studies about dependability advance dependability of products have improved rapidly. And this has made Japanese industrial products internationally competitive. Dependability is able to show its effectiveness where integrated with many related technological fields. Technological innovation has progressed rapidly at every field. This paper describes the future role which dependability should play, and describes that it is necessary for dependability to cooperate with related technological fields.
