Abstract

According to the expansion of computer network and information society, the needs for statistical knowledge and skills for data processing or analysis are more essential than before. However, due to the introduction of "the relaxed style education", the curriculum for data processing in primary education in Japan has been lessened. Besides, judging from the result of the essential survey for private companies and public institutions of Japan in March 2005, the statistics education at the university is far from the level of raising qualified personnel to the society. To help the future developments for statistical education in Japan, we will show some noteworthy educational cases.
