Tokyo Univ. of Agriculture and Technology has started a new M.E. course since 2006, aiming to education IT professionals who can design and develop satisfactory IT environment that is natural to everyone and liberated from difficulties to use rather than just from time and space constraint. The course provides students with intensive exercises in human interface, media processing, software engineering and information infrastructure before internships for about 3 months in partner companies, and project-based learning on the campus. It also features target-focussed learning subjects and distinguished visiting professors. The course is under the support of Special Coordination Funds for Promoting Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan.
