Abstract

A method has been developed for visualizingmangrove distributionutilizing unique fea-tures of mangroves. A Landsat ETM+ image and a digital elevation model were used to discrimi-nate mangrove forests in Iriomote Island, Okinawa, Japan. The results agreed well with ground truth data.
