Abstract

Author has been involved in developing and promoting the Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency named "CASBEE" as a secretary general supported the Housing Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport since 2001. CASBEE can assess and rank detached houses, large buildings, town blocks and cities. CASBEE is widely used by the Japanese government, local authorities and private companies for building control, procurement, building management, etc. This presentation will focus on CASBEE for detached houses.
