抄録
The “United Nations Associations Test of English (UNATE) ” is a standardized test of English and
facts about the United Nations administered by the United Nations Association of Japan in Japan. The test has
been gaining popularity in Japan in recent years. The test has six grades: the Special A A, B, C, D and E. In
this study, English sentences in the test were investigated to educe the metrical linguistic characteristics. In
short, frequency characteristics of character- and word-appearance were examined.
