Abstract
In modern society, the economic value pursued by economic growth and the human values of the communities that form society often align, but they can sometimes conflict. This study aims to empirically examine the impact of economic growth on people's well-being, using suicide rates as a key indicator. Furthermore, it explores how to balance the population approach, which aims for the optimization of the group as a whole, with the high-risk approach, which focuses on rescuing vulnerable individuals, in the context of comprehensive suicide prevention strategies.
