In this paper, as a generalization of admissible GCD defined by Data and Hautus, the notion of admissible bases for transfer matrices of linear systems defined over unique factorization domains is introduced. Using this notion, a necessary and sufficient condition for the realizability of precompensators by static state feedbacks is presented.
