Perception of Image Similarity Considering Gestalt Theory

A theme image displays the design and layout of a theme. The retrival of a theme image is related to the way of perceiving similarity, we assumue that the perceived similarity among such images is modified by the Gestalt laws that are present in the image. To explore the perception of similarity and its relation to Gestalt laws, we were conducting a number of experiments. In the paper, we explain these experiments and discuss their results.
