10A-B-4 Improvement Care of Oral Function Assisted with Computer-based Planning Tool in New Era of Preventing Nursing Care

Abstract

Oral functions, eating, swallowing, tasting, talking and laughing are most important functions in maintaining life. Failure of swallowing causes pneumonia, which is paid attention to one of the prevention of nursing care. The authors mention improvement care of oral functions prevents being in nursing care. The assessment of oral functions leading care plan contains multiple and various factors. So we start to develop a computer-based planning tool for oral function care utilizing self organizing map.
