In this article, we propose a keystroke authentication method using keystroke rhythms, and also we explain our analysis method with SOM (Self-Organizing Maps) as a suitable biometric authentication method for usual ATMs of banks and so on. In previous study, we experimented with pressure-sensitive touchscreen. But, in recent years, capacitive touchscreens are hugely popular in the world. In this study, we compare the difference in a device of pressure-sensitive touchscreen and capacitive touchscreen. And, we conducted applicability evaluation of capacitive touchscreen. Our method is simple and compact, and therefore will be useful for touchscreen devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs also.
