When adverbs are used to evaluate certain events, the assumptions of the even stage and the fixed order among adverbs are made regardless of differences in the choice of words. Our previous study demonstrated that the proper measure value of subjective magnitude is the partition scaling measure value which transformed to fuzzy measure, and that the subjective magnitude of adverb followed by verb changes depending on the evaluation method of words. The purpose of present study was to test that assumption about the case in adjective was followed by adverb. Data for analysis was obtained by two evaluation methods (i.e., the paired-comparison method as the discrimination scaling method and the graphical scale method as the partition scaling method). The adverbs used in this study were selected from ones used frequently in the evaluation of the vocational rehabilitation. The ad-verbs included 5 teido-fukushi (i.e., 'yaya' 'hikakuteki' 'aruteido' 'kanari' 'sukoshi'). Two types of adjectives fol-lowed: (1) adjectives expressing amount ('ooi (many)'--- 'sukunai (not many)') and (2) adjectives expressing speed ('hayai (quick)'--- 'osoi (slow)'). In order to compare the subjective magnitude of the adverb obtained by both evaluation methods, transformed into fuzzy measure as was the case in verbs by means of the heuristic algorithm. As a result, it was suggested that the partition scaling measure value is more appropriate as measured value of the subjective magnitude of target adverb. On the other hand, the difference of convergence between two evaluation methods and the examination of computation algorithm remain as issues to be solved.
