The Spherical SOM is improved topologically compared to planar SOM. Furthermore, by displaying
both the front and back sides simultaneously, the drawback of only being able to see one side has been improved.
This was applied to check the accuracy of two benchmark data: iris and breast cancer. The optimal number of
training runs was 2000 for the 150 iris plant data and 5000 for the 699 breast cancer cases. Second, although
this problem is suitable for spherical SOM, it can be applied to TSP (Traveling Salesman Problem), and
displayed the traveling around cities on earth in the shortest distance.
