A Fuzzy Expert System for Medical Diagnosis

Abstract

A fuzzy recognition system is used here as a medical expert system for diagnosing hepatic diseases. This system automatically decomposes the total feature space into some overlapping subspaces and accordingly finds a few ifthen rules. The performance of the system is found to be better than all other methods applied on the same data set for identifying hepatic diseases.
