Abstract
In the present study, CaSiO3 ceramics were prepared by different preparation conditions and investigated the influence of microstructures on its bioactivity. By changing grinding conditions of CaSiO3 powder, two CaSiO3 samples having different microstructures were obtained. For the soaking of porous CaSiO3 in SBF solution, hydroxyapatite (HAp) layer was formed by small ball-like particles and the surface was completely covered with the HA layer only by soaking for 1 day. For the soaking of dense CaSiO3, HAp layer was observed, however, the surface was not completely covered with HA even soaking for 25 days.
