Abstract
The purposes of this study were to prepare a porous TiO2 which had high humidity sensitive properties. The samples were synthesized by rapid quenching of phase separated TiO2-SiO2 melts and subsequent selective leaching of SiO2 matrix. The compositions were x=50-100 in TiO2:SiO2=x:100-x mass%. When TiO2 amount was 50 mass%, a phase separation texture was interconnected one due to spinodal decomposition, and when it was more than 60 mass%, the texture changed to a binodal type. Electric resistance decreased as TiO2 amount increased. There was an obvious relation between the electric resistance and relative humidity.
