Sensitivity of optically readable H₂ gas sensor using a masked Pd thin film

Abstract

The Palladium thin films were sputtered on glass substrate through stainless mask. The reflected intensity of the masked Pd films were measured during hydrogen absorption - desorption cycles at room temperature. The sensitivity increased gradually with increasing the cycle. It was found that the masked Pd film showed the high sensitivity and high durability.
