Abstract
The structures have been investigated for anatase and rutile type fine powders during mechanical milling. The phase transition of anatase type titania to β-TiO2 was observed at the initial stage of ball-milling. And the almost single phase of rutile type titania was obtained after 100 h of ball-milling. On the other hand, rutile type titania fine powder was stable during high-energy ball-milling and no phase transition was observed.
