Abstract
It was reported that ferrites synthesized by 28 GHz microwave irradiation have amorphous nature and ZnFe2O4 synthesized by microwave irradiation exhibits ferromagnetism. But relation between microwave energy and the change in structure and magnetism is not clear. In this study, MFe2O4 (M=Co, Ni, Zn) was synthesized by 28 GHz microwave irradiation under various oxygen partial pressures to research the relation between oxygen deficiency and microwave absorption. From temperature-Time profile under maicrowave irradiation and saturation magnetization after irradiation it was suggested that the concentration of oxygen deficiency strongly affects on maicrowave absorption behavior, consequently the formation of ferrites.
