Abstract
Layer structured α-HfNBr can be intercalated with Li and Na metals using n-butyllithium in hexane and Na-naphthalene in THF solutions, respectivity. The basal spacing increased from 8.6Å to 18.1Å by co-intercalation with THF molecules.
