Abstract

Plate shaped Al₂O₃/YAG MGC materials of eutectic composition was fabricated by Bridgman method using for the Morybdenum mold. In spite of the same speed of 5mm/hr at the descend speed of a mold, the microstructure was smaller than that of a φ40mm rod sample. The strength of the plate was equal and more than the rod sample.
