Abstract

Continuous Al₂O₃ fiber reinforced mullite composites with both excellent damage tolerance and corrosion resistance to fly ash were developed for use as hot gas particulate filters in advanced coal-based power generation systems. Filtration layer with mullite whiskers leads to excellent separation efficiency and low pressure drop.
