Abstract
The porous TiO2-Al2O3 powders with large surface area were prepared by surfactant immersion procedure. The specific surface area was nearly the same as that of supercritically dried aerogels after heating at 500°C, and two times larger than that of the samples without surfactant immersion after heating at 800°C. The average pore size and the pore volume were hardly increased by surfactant immersion. However, the pore size distributions depended on the concentration of surfactants.
