Abstract
Three-dimensional epoxy photonic crystal cells with a diamond structure were fabricated by rapid prototyping method called stereolithography. Polyester resin with CaTiO3 ceramic particles was injected into the air hole of the inverse-type photonic crystal cells prepared as a mold. Effect of the cell number and the CaTiO3 ceramic particles content were investigated on electromagnetic properties. Subsequently a 30vol% CaTiO3/polymer photonic crystal was jointed to a 40vol% CaTiO3/polymer photonic crystal. Attenuation of transmission amplitude through the joined crystals showed the combined bandgaps.
