Abstract
Long term compressive strength and durability of concrete is well known to be improved by addition of fly ash. Relation ship between reaction ration of fly ash, characters and performance of hardened fly ash cement system is not well known. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of pozzolanic reaction of fly ash to formation of hardened specimens. In this study a quantitative investigation on the reaction ratio as a criterion of fly ash pozzolanic reaction. The reaction ratio of fly ash is calculated by the determined discrepancy of insoluble residue in the specimens before and after pozzolanic reaction.. The effect of water/powder ratio of fly ash and curing temperature on the pozzolanic reaction of fly ash in cement paste are investigate.
