Abstract
Mesostructured titania thin films have been synthesized by an acidic sol-gel self-assembly chemistry using a triblock copolymer as template. By controlling the volume ratio of the template in the precursor solution, lamellar, hexagonal, and cubic mesostructured titania thin films doped with a Rh6G laser dye can be made successfully. When the excitation pump intensity exceeds the threshold, the gain-narrowing of emission from a Rh6G-doped mesostructured titania thin films has been observed.
