Abstract
Slurry compressibility was evaluated by using three different methods; constant pressure filtration, hydrostatic pressure measurement and ultrasonic attenuation method. In order to discuss the effect of solid concentration on slurry compressibility, the initial solid concentration was changed 1.0-35vol%. It was found that these methods could be useful to determine optimum conditions for slurry preparation more appropriately and more quickly than the traditional sedimentation method.
