Abstract
Using a sol-gel method, AuCu colloids synthesized in solution were introduced into a glass matrix, which were investigated using XRD, TEM and EDS, it was found that a reduction treatment in N2 atmosphere allowed AuCu nanoparticles to be formed in the glass. Consequently, the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) in optical absorption could be changed from 525nm of Au nanoparticles to longer wavelength as the AuCu nanoparticles were precipitated.
