Abstract
The crystal structure of fluorescence property of BaCa2MgSi2O8:Eu2+ were investigated in order to use as a blue phosphor for PDP. This alkaline earth silicate had polymorphism of the high temperature form with the hexagonal cell and the low temperature one with the orthorhmbic cell. The crystal structure of the high temperture form was similar to the merwinite-type structure. The intensity of fluorescence for the high temperature form was stronger than that for the low temperature one.
