Abstract
The alkoxyl derivatives of layered perovskite, H1.8Sr0.8Bi0.2Ta2O7, were prepared using n-alkylamine layered perovskite intercalation compounds as intermediates. After the reaction of n-alkylamine intercalation compound of HST with n-decanol in an autoclave at 150°C the basal spacing increased. Carbon-13 NMR showed the presence of signals due to n-decoxyl groups and downfield shift of a a-carbon signal, indicating of the formation of Ta-O-C bond. These results suggest successful modification of H1.8Sr0.8Bi0.2Ta2O7.
