Preparation of Thin Film Electrodes of Li-Ni-Mn-O for Lithium Batteries

Abstract

Lithium nickel manganese oxides are promising materials as cathode of rechargeable lithium batteries. In our previous paper, we reported that thin film electrodes of LiCoO₂, LiMn₂O₄, Li₄Ti₅O₁₂ for rechargeable lithium batteries can be prepared by using a sol-gel coating method with poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP). In the present study, thin films of LiNi_0.5Mn_1.5O₄ and LiNi_0.5Mn_0.5O₂ were fabricated and their crystallographic structures and electrochemical properties were evaluated.
