Abstract
Luminescence materials, which emit light under ultraviolet (UV) excitation, have attracted much attention in the field of lighting and display devices. Recently, it has been reported that Sn doped sodium lime silicate glass had emitted broad band in visible range. In this study, Sn doped sodium borosilicate glass, which is one of the typical phase-separated glasses were prepared and their luminescence properties were examined. As a result, wide-range emission of which center was around 380-420nm was confirmed under UV irradiation. The peak of the excitation spectrum shifted to long wavelength side owing to the glass compositions or the raw materials of Sn ion source.
