Abstract
Reaction bonding and post sintering process were applied to fabricate be-ta SiAlON ceramics added with ZrO2 and Y2O3 doped ZrO2 to clarify the effect of ZrO2 addition on mechanical properties and microstructure of the sintered ceramics. Bending strength of the sintered specimens were increased with increasing Y2O3 content of the doped ZrO2 at the case of Z=1.
