Abstract
Dielectric and electromechanical properties of Ba(Ti0.8Zr0.2)O3 ceramics were investigated. The Ba(Ti0.8Zr0.2)O3</SUB ceramics are prepared by conventional solid state reaction from the powder synthesized by spray drying. The powders are pressed and sintered at 1300-1500C. With increasing sintering temperature, the relative density and dielectric constant of the samples increase, generally. BTZ ceramics sintered at 1350C exhibit the dielectric constant of 5840 and loss tangent of 0.006 at room temperature. The Ba rich samples are hard to be sintered relatively and exhibit lower dielectric constant and higher loss tangent.
