Abstract

Changing blast furnace slag to tobermorite by improved hydrothermal process was attempted for changing blast furnace slag to useful material. Monolithic phase of tobermorite with fine lead removal ability was successfully synthesized by rotary hydrothermal treatment with controlled Ca/(Al+Si) molar ratio for 0.8 ~ 1.0. It revealed that the presence of aluminum component and the value of Al/(Al+Si) molar ratio was affected greatly in synthesis pure phase of tobermorite. And solidification of synthesized tobermorite was successed.
