Preparation and characterization of oleic acid / ascorbic acid (ASA) / layered double hydroxide (LDH) composites

Abstract

Oleic acid / ascorbic acid (ASA) / layered double hydroxide (LDH) composites were prepared and their releasing behaviors of contained ASA were investigated. Firstly, the ASA / LDH composites were prepared by reconstruction method of heated LDH in ASA solution. The contents of ASA in the composite was 30 mass%. Secondly, obtained ASA / LDH composites were treated in sodium oleate solution. And finally, the oleic acid /ASA / LDH composites were obtained. The releasing behaviors of ASA from these composites were investigated in acid solution. Releasing rate of ASA decreased with increasing of oleic acid amount in the composite.
