Abstract

Porous machinable ceramics was prepared by firing of talc and ceramic balloon with adding LiCl. SEM observation indicated that the resulting composites have pores and plate particle. The pores were formed by melting of ceramic balloon by the reaction with LiCl. Composite with high machinability was high and bending strength 10 MPa were obtained.
